Disappointing Experience with Unhelpful Staff

We spent three nights in the queen room with ocean view. Unfortunately, the breakfast service was poor. the staff refused to prepare a simple lunch box for an early trip. Additionally, charges for items that should have been complimentary were unexpected. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The space in my junior suite was impressive, featuring a nice balcony where I enjoyed quiet mornings. The hotel design perfectly blended minimalism with sophistication. I appreciated the partial sea view upgrade, making my stay even more enjoyable, especially at sunset. The pool area was also a relaxing spot, with beautiful sea views.

I loved my stay in the King Room with Terrace View. the balcony was perfect for enjoying coffee while taking in the sea breeze, and the American breakfast each morning was delicious. The outdoor swimming pool was a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. The spa made for a truly relaxing experience. The only hiccup was the management taking a bit longer to address a small billing issue, but it didn’t overshadow my great time here! 😊

I loved staying in my Junior Suite with Partial Ocean View, where the scenic views of the ocean took my breath away! The balcony was perfect for sipping coffee while soaking in the sunrise-what a way to start the day! Plus, the beach access made it easy to lounge at the shore and jump into the crystal-clear water whenever I wanted.

This stay was very nice. I enjoyed a Junior Suite with a spacious balcony and ocean views. The location was perfect, right by the beach and 5th Avenue. Breakfast was delicious with eggs and pastries. I loved the outdoor pool and gym. 🌊

The hotel offered a stunning view and a spacious, well-furnished room, with attentive staff making the experience enjoyable. However, a couple of mishaps occurred. our plunge pool was not initially clean, and housekeeping missed a few items. Overall, a lovely stay with great hospitality.

the stay at thompson was fantastic. the junior suite with partial ocean view was beautiful and comfortable. we loved the location, right next to 5th avenue, making everything easily accessible. the breakfast was great, and the staff were incredibly helpful, especially when they recommended a private guide for our chichen itza trip, which turned out to be amazing. we also enjoyed the outdoor pool and fitness center.

But honestly, if I had a peso for every time I tripped over my own suitcase, I'd be rich. And the snacks? More like 'Where’s Waldo' than 'room service. '

It was just an optimal selection for a short layover in Playa del Carmen with good value for money. The service staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when I asked for extra towels and they delivered them quickly. Just be mindful of the limited beach access and grab your lounge chairs early.
